R N R Manohar had worked as an assistant to Director K S Ravikumar and I V Sasi, one of the leading directors in Malayalam industry. He has written the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film Punnagai Poove. He has also written dialogues for Vijayakanth starrer Thennavan, Murali starrer Kannuku Kannaka and Parthiban starrer Pudumai Pithan.
Nakul and Sunaina of Kadhalil Vizhundhen fame is also pairing in this film Masilamani.
Kalpaathi S Agoram who produced hit films like Jeevan’s starrer Naan Avan Illai and Jayam Ravi’s starrer Santhosh Subramaniam is producing this high budgeted film Masilamani under the banner A G S Entertainment.
The director says that there will be difference in action of Nakul in Kadhalil Vizhundhen and in this film. Nakul has taken much care about this. Nakul who is an expertise in dance has also excelled in acting in this film.
